A woman is taken to the country for fresh air and bed rest. With no company and forbidden to read or write, the room becomes her world and her only companion, the wallpaper.
What The Critics Thought:

"What is commendable is the presence this one-woman show brings to the stage...an impressive piece of theatre"                                                                                         ****   Broadway Baby

"Lesley Free carries the show well with a beautiful vocal quality and an elegant frame...The Yellow Wallpaper is a moving piece...essential viewing for anyone who has read the story and moving viewing for all those who haven't."
 Melissa Rynn

"Free's depiction of Perkins Gilman's semi-autobiographical character is emotive, gripping and intense....  If you're at the Fringe this year, track down this fantastic performance from Amarillo Arts, it's a gem."
